Addressing the press in Mombasa, Haji said that there would be no sacred cows and that those behind the murder would be dealt with according to the law irrespective of their status.

"There will be no sacred cows. It does not matter whether you are a governor, you will have to face the full wrath of the law," he said.

This was the first time that the former spy who hails from Garissa was weighing in publicly on the gruesome murder.

He called for patience amongst Kenyans so that investigations can run their full course and help unravel those behind Sharon's death.

The Rongo University student was killed after being abducted and was found at Kodera Forest.
