In a tweet on Thursday, the former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant sensationally purported that the President has infiltrated the ongoing judicial process for personal political reasons.

He claimed that the Head of State influenced Obado’s prolonged detention to facilitate his plans to rig his candidate of choice into the Migori Senatorial seat in the approaching by-election.

According to Miguna, Uhuru is using his power to appease opposition leader and his newly found political friend Raila Odinga, whose Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is out to defend the seat left vacant after the death of Migori Senator Ben Okello.

‘’Okoth Obado has not been denied bail because of the billions of shillings he has stashed abroad. If that were the case, his PA, Oyamo, would have been released on bail. Obado has been denied bail so that @UKenyatta's lap dog can rig the Migori by-election on October 8,’’ he claimed.

ODM has since fronted former Cabinet Minister Ochilo Ayacko for the seat, a move Obado opposed. He is reported to be sponsoring Eddy Oketch - who is not affiliated to ODM

Obado has been accused of involvement in the abduction and murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

He is being held at the Industrial Area Prison pending the consideration of his bail application on October 8.
