Kisii boda boda riders association chairman Fred Nunda regretted why senior officers in the county will have interest in the boda boda leadership yet they are employed by the county government of Kisii earning monthly salaries.

"Governor Ongwae should move with speed and ensure his officers are not forcing themselves to be boda boda riders' officials. If they have the interest in the sector let them resign and join boda boda business," he said.

He added; "All we want is to have peace and county government officers more particularly county askaris respecting us. No rider is going to accept leaders who have imposed themselves."

Nunda vowed that boda boda riders will hold peaceful demos in Kisii town on Monday without fail.

"We have heard that the county has planned to send street children to disrupt our peaceful demos. I wish to confirm that we will go on rampage because it is our constitutional right," he added while warning street children against being misused by Ongwae's administration.
