West Mugirango Member of Parliament Vincent Kemosi has defended his decision to associate himself with Deputy President William Ruto and his close allies.
The MP argued that even though he was elected on Ford Kenya Party, he will not be restricted from associating himself with other leaders.
"Working with my colleagues from other camps is not a crime. As leaders, we must embrace unity and work together as one. My association with DP Ruto and his allies should not be seen as a crime," said Kemosi.
The first-term MP reiterated that he will continue working with leaders irrespective of their political affiliations.
Kemosi challenged leaders to embrace each other urging them not to let 2022 politics divide Kenyans, especially in at the grassroots.
"Our political interests should not divide our people at the ground. Leaders need to lead by example and focus on delivering as by the development promises made during the 2017 polls. I challenge all leaders whether in opposition or government to put the interests of the electorates first," argued Kemosi.
Kemosi has been attending functions in Nyamira and Kisii counties presided over by DP Ruto. The FORD Kenya lawmaker is expected to defend his seat in 2022.
