Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) allied blogger Dikembe Disembe now says that the Jubilee Party is on the verge of setting one of the most pathetic histories in Kenya.
In a tweet Friday, the blogger advised the party not to pick Deputy President William Ruto as its flag bearer in the approaching 2022 general elections, or risk angering Kenyans.
He said that such a decision will bring out the confused aspect of the ruling party, especially in a block with better options and more suitable persons who can lead in that capacity.
According to Disembe, the party would be better off with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, who is much better and more suitable for the position than the DP.
"There is something I don’t get. How is the Jubilee Party, which has in its civil service ranks someone like Fred Matiangi, thinking of fielding William Ruto for the presidency? If this party does that; it will be one of the most pathetic outrages it ever committed on Kenyans!" he wrote.
However, Matiang'i is yet to declare interest in any seat in the much-anticipated race, while the DP's candidature is already in the public domain.
