This happened on Sunday evening at Getare, North Borabu in Nyamira County.

Erick Osaso, an administration police officer attached to Trans Mara administration police post said he went to check on his wife, Josephine Kwamboka only to find her another man in bed.

“My wife was not aware that I could go to check on her and our 5-year-old son. I went home without informing her when I found her with another man in the same bed that we have shared for years,” said an agitated Osaso.

Osaso said his wife’s mpango wa kando escaped through the window but he left his mobile phone and coat behind.

“The man who my wife named as Joseph escaped and abandoned his mobile phone and coat," he said.

Kwamboka nevertheless, was clobbered by her husband over the incident.

Neighbours led by Edwin Omwoyo said Kwamboka and her mpango wa kando were lucky since Osaso was not armed.

“Kwamboka and her man should pray to God since Osaso was not armed. He could have shot them dead,” said Omwoyo.

Area assistant chief, John Gekonde confirmed the incident and said the woman was rescued by neighbours who rushed her to Nyamira County hospital for treatment following the injuries she sustained from the beating.

“Kwamboka is currently in hospital after a thorough beating. Women should respect their husbands who are away for work and stop making illicit love with other men outside the wedlock,” said Gekonde.

He urged men to keep on checking their wives so that they know how they are living back in villages.
