The national football team Harambee Stars has returned to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) after 15 years. However, the team recorded a poor start in its first match losing 2-0 to Algeria.
Kenya is in Group C alongside Tanzania, Algeria, and Senegal.
Both Algeria and Senegal won their first matches with a 2-0 margin, making them the top teams in the group.
Kenya's next match will be against Taifa Stars of Tanzania on June 27, before meeting Senegal on July 1, 2019 for their last group match.
With only two matches remaining, Kenya must win both, or win one and draw one, to stand a chance of qualifying for the next round.
However, if they win one match, and draw the other, they will have to pray that either Senegal or Algeria lose one of their remaining matches.
With four points, Kenya could qualify for the next round as one of the best losers.
The team, however, needs to improve on their defense and be sharp while attacking for them to stand any chance of winning.
The coach should also rework his squad and bring in creative players with a lot of pace for example; midfielders Paul Were, and Johanna Omollo.
