While visiting ailing former Kisumu Town legislator Grace Onyango, Orengo recounted how police attempted to dump him in a 'strange' market before he pleaded with them.

“They wanted to leave me at the market but I told them 'you can’t leave me here ... I am very sick'. I asked them to take me 'where Grace lives',” he said amid laughter.

While they agreed to leave him at Grace Onyango's gate, Orengo wondered how they came to know her compound further causing amusement.

“I wondered how they knew me. I thought they would arrest me but I realised they knew me,” Mrs. Onyango recalled.

During the event, Raila recollected how Kenya has changed tremendously in terms of freedoms of expression and association.

He also left couple of MPs who attended in stitches when he claimed that Orengo may have gone to exile after the incident.

"We may be not yet there but we have made progress. Perhaps the ordeal may have made Orengo to go for exile.

While Raila would be locked in connection to 1982 coup, Orengo took asylum in Tanzania but would make a comeback in 1992.
