Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has been arrested by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives.

The anti-graft officials say Kidero will be charged with corruption, alongside seven others.

Reports indicate that the ex-governor was arrested while on his way to the EACC headquarters in Nairobi.

Kidero is expected to be arraigned in court on Thursday over mismanagement of county funds during his tenure.
