Through his lawyer Muthomi Thiankolu, Linturi said that he has never set foot at the lodge as claimed by Kitany.

During the cross-examination of the complainant on Monday, Muthomi said that the allegations that they were once in a romantic relationship with the senator are false.

“Are you aware that Linturi has never set foot in Sopa Lodge?” posed the lawyer.

In response, Kitany insisted that she has been at the place with the lawmaker on several occasions. She divulged that the senator lied to the court that they have never been together at the joint.

“We were together with Linturi and even went there after that,” replied Kitany.

Kitany also said that she was legally married to the senator. She narrated how their relationship grew over time.

She had alleged that Linturi missed the session where he was expected to move a motion for the impeachment of the then Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru because they were at the lodge "having a good time".

She also revealed that she spent millions to make their marriage work including making a trip to Australia together with Linturi's children for purposes of bonding.

At some point, she accused the senator of forging signatures and stealing properties belonging to her relatives.
