He will always be insecure
So you have a good job and do not mind calling him all the time and crediting his phone. But all these efforts will go unnoticed because the most insecure people in this world are broke guys. He fears that you may start dating a guy who has money and will even accuse you of cheating on him simply because he feels insecure. I bet you wouldn't want such a guy.
The relationship is doomed to fail
What if both of you are broke? Too bad. It means that there will be no communication because none of you can barely afford airtime. A meeting will also be impossible unless you live in the same neighborhood. Honestly speaking, we all know that no relationship can last without communication. Why would you even try to invest your feelings in a relationship that is bound to fail within no time?
Inferiority complex
If you are working and dating a broke guy, he will always complain that you are treating him badly because he is broke. Even when he is wrong, you cannot speak about it because he will always feel like you are disrespecting him because he has no money.
