He said many youth across the six sub-counties had lost hope, fearing that they may fail to repay the County funds, something he said should not worry them.

According to the governor, those who fail to repay the loans, apply for less money which makes it impossible for them to start and run a business and feed their families at the same time.

"..and I've always told the youth that don't come to me asking for Sh50,000, Sh100,000. Come ask for Sh5 million, Sh1 million, Sh10 million. What type of business can you do with Sh100,000 and feed your family or marry? A lot of youth get stuck and fail to repay the loans for taking small money," Joho said on Monday.

Speaking on Pilipili FM, the governor said his administration had set aside enough money for youth empowerment with aim to eradicate poverty and create jobs.
