He on Friday welcomed the fact that the BBI report would be handed over to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kisiang'ani appealed to the Kenyan people not to delegate the reading of the report to another person just as the head of state had appealed.

"It is refreshing to hear that the BBl report will be out next Tuesday. Am (sic) happy President Kenyatta has asked Kenyans to read it carefully n (sic) to make independent judgements without depending on politicians. I hope no Kenyan delegates the reading of the document to another person!" he said.

The contents of the report have not been made public, making much of the discourse about its contents mere speculation.

President Uhuru and his handshake partner  Raila Odinga have claimed that they do not know what is in the BBI report.

The report is expected to chart the country's political path with the possibility of a referendum so that Kenyans can weigh in on the issues that will come up.

A section of Mount Kenya political leaders have threatened to oppose the initiative should it propose a parliamentary system.
