In an interview with K24's Anne Kiguta, Mudavadi said that the issue of BBI's push should be addressed with sobriety.

He said that leaders asking Kenyans to back BBI whose report remains unclear are only wasting their time, adding that they are likely to receive a shocker of the decade."I think I can only say let's put the BBI report in the right context because people are making prepositions about the constitution. I think the one that has been clear on what they would want to propose is the Punguza Mizigo document. The BBI was collecting its views. They have retreated and said that they are going to make a report now I can only say let's wait for the report," he said in part.He also said that the handshake between Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga came as a surprise but he said he is fully behind the same.

"The handshake was a good gesture but the manner in which it came as a surprise. To some extent, it did disappoint a constituent of the Nasa family," he said.
