A cloud of sorrow engulfed in Nzaui Makueni County after a five-year-old boy hanged himself to death on Sunday.
In what started as a game with his sibling tragedy struck where he lost his life.
According to Nzaui chief Peter King'oo, the duo was playing a game at their home where one would hang himself around the neck using a rope only for their actions to turn tragic.
He said that when the little boy's turn came, he tripped and got hanged and died.
"The two were playing together where one would hang himself using the goat rope when the incident happened, he tripped fell and unfortunately died", Said King'oo.
The chief urged parents to be aware of their children's whereabouts and kind of games they are playing to avoid such tragedies.
"The game played by these children is very dangerous and parents should engage their kids and know what kind of games they play in a bid to keep our kids away from harm", said King'oo.
However, King'oo said that police have commenced investigations into the incident.
The body of the boy was moved to Makindu hospital mortuary for preservation.
