Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has faulted Deputy President William Ruto for referring to himself as a hustler.
Speaking in Lamu on Monday, Joho said that Ruto has no moral authority to claim he is struggling to make ends meet yet he is the second in command.
He insisted that Ruto lives like a king and yet he claims he is not finding things easy.
He urged Ruto not to walk around telling people about his humble background to win their hearts ahead of 2022.
“Stop moving around pretending that you are a hustler while you’re not. How can a hustler live in a mansion which costs billions while travelling in more than five choppers?” Joho said in part as quoted by Daily Nation.
The county boss also asked Ruto and his allies to back President Uhuru Kenyatta in the war against graft. He noted that he is solidly behind the fight to make this nation corruption-free before Uhuru completes his second and final term in office.
He further said that he supports the handshake between Uhuru and Raila Amolo Odinga.
The county boss has affirmed that he will rally the electorate to reject Ruto's presidential bid.
Governor Joho further claims the DP is the most corrupt leaders in Kenya.
