The leaders said that the head of state has forgotten them despite having mounted campaigns in the region to ensure he retains power.

Led by former MP Kisoi Munyao, the leaders asked President Uhuru to reconsider them.

Others are former lawmakers Joe Mutambu, Katemi Makenga, Itwiku Mbai, John Munuve, Regina Ndambuki and Gideon Ndambuki.

The leaders also said that it is unfortunate that they have nothing to smile about despite having mounted strong campaigns to ensure Uhuru wins the seat.

“We chose to stand with the President fully aware of the political consequences because we believed in the Jubilee manifesto. We braved untold hostility from our competitors, who accused us of betraying the community’s political cause,” Munyao said.

The Western allies have also re-echoed the same sentiments following the appointment of different senior government officials.

The sentiments of the leaders come at a time when leaders across the nation have continued to elicit mixed reactions concerning the Mau eviction.

Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and other leaders confronted the commander in charge of the eviction causing a stir.
