Deputy President William Ruto on Friday exuded confidence that he will not lose any contest to opposition leader Raila Odinga, arguing that he's no longer a threat.
Speaking at Ekerenyo, Dr Ruto warned that 'Kenyans are not stupid' adding that Mr Odinga will suffer a similar fate if he contests in 2022.
According to him, Nyamira people ditched ODM for Jubilee since they were 'tired' of unending story-telling which does not change their lives.
Dr Ruto said Jubilee goverment will not be distracted with persistent politicking by the opposition, adding that the government is committed to deliver.
"We defeated you here because Kenyans are tired of your rhetoric. These people are not stupid. They will teach you a lesson of you try again," he said.
"They are tired with story telling and they know who is committed to change their lives. That's why we are here to help them," added the DP.
In 2017, Jubilee party narrowly beat ODM in Nyamira although the Supreme Court nullified the outcome. Mr Odinga boycotted rerun.
Dr Ruto was accompanied by local leaders among them Shadrack Mose, Alfa Miruka, Innocent Obiri, Joash Nyamoko, Joash Maangi and Vincent Kemosi.
It was his third trip to Ekerenyo grounds in Nyamira within this year. The DP was the chief guest in the fundraiser for bodaboda group in North Mugirango.
