ODM leader Raila Odinga has said that the push for a referendum is unstoppable.
Speaking during an interview with NTV on Sunday, Raila said that the current constitution has not been functioning properly.
He reaffirmed that time has come for the leaders and the general public to support his fight to make Kenya a better place.
According to the former Prime Minister, there are questions that the leaders behind the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) had to ask themselves before they decided to support the calls for a referendum.
He alluded that the referendum calls are not aimed at making him the President as perceived by some people, adding that change is inevitable.
Raila reminded those opposed to the BBI to reconsider the recommendations in the document for the sake of a better nation.
"We have a new constitution, it is not working. So what is it that needs to be done to ensure that these things are working? These are the questions that we asked ourselves," he said, according to an NTV tweet.
Raila also said that the recommendations of the BBI report are aimed at resolving several critical issues in government including historical land injustices, corruption, resources allocation and election malpractices among others.
He further asked all Kenyans to jump onto the BBI bandwagon.
