Former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando has yet again hit at Deputy President William Ruto, insisting he is not at pole position to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Dr Ruto has been traversing the country, positioning himself as the heir apparent of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Uhuru, 58, is set to retire in 2022 when the country goes to polls. He was first elected in 2013, before retaining the seat in 2017.
Responding to Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen's tweet, Kabando insisted that the DP was arrogant, a move that narrows his chances.
He also accused the DP of holding State House-like functions at his Sugoi home, despite the fact that President Uhuru Kenyatta is firmly in charge.
"My fren, sarcastic #TBT, tongue-in-cheek. Bill had a golden chance to succeed UK. All gone now, thanks to his weird bravado. All gone, thanks to URP arrogance. Is all gone, thanks to parallel ”IKULU” Sugoi. All gone, thanks to Bill’s “genius“ 21-26/4/2017. Bro, Cry NOT, disembark," he argued.
In an earlier message on his social media accounts, Murkomen seemed to question the fading relationship between the DP and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Season’s Greetings to you all #TBT edition," wrote Murkomen, posting a photo of Uhuru and Ruto wishing people merry Christmas.
Unlike in the past, Uhuru on Wednesday sent seasons greetings on all dailies bearing a photo of him alone, a move that further casts doubts on his relationship with Ruto.
