Sacked County Secretary Erick Onchana has been recalled after over three months out of service.
The second CS for Nyamira County was ousted in May and subsequently launched a legal battle to overturn the sacking.
"You are hereby requested to cease to transact business on behalf of the country. You will be fully paid your dues in line with the law,"read a letter dated 9th May.
And even with Kisumu Labour Relations Court set to make a ruling on his ouster in September, Governor Nyagarama has reportedly reinstated him.
A source who spoke in confidence said the Governor was keen to curb ongoing intrigues that have severely sabotaged service delivery.
"I want to assure you that the governor has recalled Mr. Onchana. He has demanded that keys are handed to him.
"He is likely to serve until his tenure expires in 2019. He has also been tasked to sign documents in relation to budget," said the source.
On Saturday, a photo of Onchana in his office circulated in various social media platforms.
For two months Governor Nyagarama was out, Onchana's office remained locked as his deputy Thomas Nyariki was confirmed as Acting CS.
The county almost plunged into a financial stalemate with workers going without salaries for two months now.
