Education stakeholders have appealed to parents to ensure they invest in the progressive education for their children in order to address various challenges facing the society.
Speaking during an exclusive interview, Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies’ Director John Kimemia Gitau said education is key in addressing some of the challenges facing the society and parents should invest in the education of their children.
He also called on parents to ensure transition of their children after completing high school no matter the grade they get.
“For the parents it is very important that all children who are through with form four transit no matter the grade they got. I would call upon the parents to ensure that they invest in the education of their children through the many learning institutions including the middle level colleges,” said Mr.Gitau.
According to Gitau, youths have great potential in various fields which should be tapped for productivity.
“To the youths who have completed the high school, they should know that is only but a step in their lives and should now focus on what they want to do in future and make the right choices with guidance,” he said.
While commending the government for the mechanisms being put in place to ensure education for all, Gitau is optimistic that this will help in achieving vision 2030.
“The government is also trying so much to ensure education for all. We have various stakeholders including universities, middle level colleges and even the technical institutions,” he said.
