Garissa Governor Ali Bunow Korane on Tuesday visited Modogashe to assess the damage caused by the raging inter-clan feuds.
In a statement following his visit to the volatile area, Korane vowed to end the conflicts within the shortest time possible.
He further cautioned local politicians against inciting their communities into violence.
"I will reach out to my Isiolo counterpart Governor Kuti and the other political leaders from Isiolo County for an amicable solution to the perennial conflicts among our communities. I also ask political leaders to desist from fanning the conflict," Korane stated.
In the perennial conflict between Garissa's Aulian clan and Isiolo's Borana community, property worth millions has reportedly gone up in smoke.
The fights in Modogashe reached its peak on Saturday when residents took to the streets to protest the raging aggression from rival Borana community living in Isiolo County.
Even as locals shift blame to the state security agencies, at least two people have been reported dead with tens of others sustaining serious injuries.
All eyes are now looking upon Korane to help resolve the issue and bring a long lasting solution to the matter that has withstood the test of time.
