For the first time in as many months, Gusii spokesperson Simba Arati shared podium with nominated Senator Millicent Omanga after an acrimonious fallout.
In April this year, the two clashed after Mr. Arati was installed as Abagusii spokesman, a move that irked Omanga, who was backing Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.
"We can't be ruled by a boy who is yet to marry. He must drop the Chinese wife and pick a Kisii woman before we take him serious," she said in one of the rallies.
A group of elders were divided over who should be the community's spokesman, with Arati's move attracting criticism and praise in equal measure.
In a rejoinder, Arati accused Ms. Omanga of thriving in hatred, adding that he was ready to marry her if she wanted to.
"If she isn't satisfied with her husband, I can supplement. That's not a difficult thing to do," he fired back.
But on Sunday at Kasarani, the two leaders were seen engaging in a lengthy talk, shaking hands thereafter during Shabana FC and Mwatate FC Third Tier playoffs.
Afterwards, they were seen mobilising for money from leaders who attended in aide of Gusii based club.
Their efforts saw leaders contributing Sh1 million in just ten minutes as participants cheered them on.
