It is no doubt a joyful moment for Kalenjin radio fans as former KASS FM radio presenter Joshua Arap Sang makes a huge come back to the radio after years of silence.
Sang hang the mic in 2008 after he was indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for allegedly being among the masterminds of the 2007/2008 post-election violence.
A decade later, he is returning to the airwaves with his homes station being the Kalenjin vernacular radio station, Emoo FM in two weeks time.
On Monday, he reported to the Mediamax-owned radio station headquarters in Nairobi and took to his Facebook to notify his fans that he will be live on air after two weeks.
“Reported today but will be on air in two weeks time.6:15 am - 10 am. Monday to Friday,” Sang posted.
During his time at KASS FM, Sang’s vocal and steady voice earned him a huge following from the Rift Valley region and beyond.
During his ten years away from the microphone, Sang tried his luck in politics but lost the Trans-Nzoia gubernatorial seat during the Jubilee Party preliminaries in 2017 and has since been living a private life.
Expectations are, therefore, high as more listeners are eager to hear from him.
