Joseph Kori and Judy Wambui Mungai were on Tuesday arraigned at the Kiambu Law Courts to answer to charges over the murder of Mary Kamangara.

According to police reports, the body of Kamangara was found dumped near a dam in Juja constituency on Sunday evening.

Confirming the incident, Juja DCIO Obed Kioo said that Kamangara's body had bruises on her hands and multiple injuries on the head.

It suspected that the killers might have used her vehicle to transport the body to where it was discovered.

"From our observations, she might have been killed elsewhere and the body dumped here...She had bruises on the hand and multiple injuries on the head," said DCIO Kioo.

Investigating officer Cornelius Arwasa confirmed to the court that upon intensive search, blood-stained clothes were recovered from Wambui Mungai’s rented house at Four Ways Estate on Kiambu Road.

Mungai's is alleged to have lured Kamangara to her house where the two met Kori.

Police asked the court to allow them to detain the two suspects at the Juja Police Station pending further investigations into the matter.

Kiambu Senior Principal Magistrate Stella Atambo ordered the two to be detained until February 13, when they are expected to take a plea.
