The son of Rarienda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo has joined his father's journey after he was admitted to bar on Wednesday.
Rodney Amollo was among hundreds of lawyers who were admitted to bar an event graced by Chief Justice David Maraga.
The legislator who is also a member of the legal profession could not hide his joy over his son's academic exploits.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) legislator took on his twitter handle where congratulated his upon his entry to being an advocate of High court.Otiende advised his son to serve in honesty, humility, and dignity.
"Today my son Rodney Amollo begins his journey as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.. Congratulations! May you serve in honesty, humility & dignity," he tweeted.
On his part,The Chief Justice told the new High Court advocates to prepare for challenges such that come with their line of duty.
“The law's image as a noble and honorable profession is in tatters. You probably will be surprised that our profession is not always very much loved. We bear the brunt of many nasty jokes and often it sounds as if we are enemies of society rather than friends of the people we serve," he said.
He further called upon the young lawyers to venture into practices that are good for the public and that will create opportunities for them.
