At the moment, he is handling murder case involving a Nyeri Magistrate and her deceased husband along with another case of Chinese nationals, with the family insisting it's the reason why he was armed.

But the autopsy report by government pathologist Johansen Oduor shows Mr Nyakundi may have lied about his son, Joseph Nyakundi's death, further throwing him off balance.

“The shot projection from the chest exiting at the back suggested that whoever shot him was standing outside the rear right back door of motor vehicle KCE 753B Toyota Axio which belongs to the father of deceased,” reads the report in part as seen by Citizen Digital.

“The angle of shooting according to the projection could be ninety degrees, suggesting there was a confrontation.”

Homicide detectives will now have to subject the lawyer's vehicle to another ballistic examination to ascertain whether or not the autopsy report is true. According to the report, a confrontation ensued before the Sunday fatal shooting.

Also, DCI team found another pistol at Nyakundi's home with 471 rounds of ammunitions, a move that could further complicate the matter since he's only allowed to have only one pistol and 50 bullets.

Back at their Gusii home, Nyakundi family is concerned with the matter, even as spokesperson Eliud Nyakundi insisted that there was no known rift between the father and the son.
