Speaking during a church fundraiser in Nyalilbei, Soy Sub-County on Sunday, the county boss said the report should be passed the way it is, adding that it should not be politicised.

"We want the BBI report to be passed the way it is since the country needs to move forward with other things. Let us not put the country in an electioneering period but instead work for the good of the electorates," said the governor.

"We have the Big Four Agenda waiting, prices of maize, pyrethrum, coffee, tea and the people of West Pokot lost their loved ones in landslides. We have several other developmental issues to attend to as a country," the Jubilee county boss added.

Mandago further argued that the proposal to have a committee of experts look into the BBI report should not be allowed, arguing that it is a waste of time and taxpayers' money.

He also warned cabinet secretaries against engaging in politics, saying that the CSs are appointed to serve Kenyans and not to get involved in politics.

The BBI report was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday, last week at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi.
