Former National Assembly speaker Farah Maalim has once again failed to make it to President Uhuru's list of appointees released on Friday.

Maalim missed to appear on the list even as the president rewarded Raila and Kalonzo allies with various high profile positions most of whom lost in the last 2017 elections.

However, the ex-speaker's backyard was not left behind as the former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chair Issack Ahmed Hassan was appointed to chair of the Kenya Industrial Institute.

Others who made to the golden list of appointees include Faith Waigwa, the former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) vice chair who will serve as board member in the  Public Procurement Administrative Review board, Paul Gicheru as the new chair of the Export Processing Zone (EPZ).

The runner-up in the Meru senatorial race Mugambi Imanyara who apparently lost to Mithika Linturi will now serve as the boss of the Kenya industrial Estates as Edward Kinyua takes over the East African Portland Cement Company.

All the appointments will run for a period of three years.

Even as Maalim misses out, it has been widely speculated that his fallout with Raila Odinga largely contributed to his current predicaments.

Doubled with his supremacy battles with Uhuru's right hand man Aden Duale, it is no secret that Maalim might not get a chance to work with the Jubilee government in the near future.
