Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has released a list of issues he wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to address in his state of the nation address set for Thursday.
The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator wants the president to address matters economy and what he plans to better and stabilize the economy.
He also wants the Head of State to address matters unemployment among the youth and how he plans to tackle it going forward.
"I look forward to the President addressing matters of the economy as a priority.
"The greatest threat to national unity and security is not politics as some claim but unemployment among the youth and I expect him to talk about how to tackle the issue," he told the Standard.
The close ally of Deputy President William Ruto also wants Uhuru to address matters the ongoing fight against graft and what he is doing to strengthen the war.
Also in his list of demands is the food security arm of his (Uhuru) election manifesto, as about a million Kenyans are facing hunger in about 13 counties.
"He will also have to talk about what the Government has done to support the institutions fighting graft. The President ought to revisit the Jubilee policies on food security,” he added.
