Police officers on Friday arrested Gatundu MP Moses Kuria for allegedly assaulting a woman. The complainant, Joyce Wanja said that the lawmaker attacked her during a fundraiser for orphans at the Royal Media Services premises in Kiambu County.

Wanja claimed that the lawmaker commended about women’s underwear, a remark that irked her. 

The woman alluded noted that she faulted the MP for the remark only for him to assault her in public.

"I told him he was talking about matters which were irrelevant to the event at hand and more so inappropriate for children," she said.
