Responding to legislators who had called for his resignation over claims of undermining President Uhuru Kenyatta, the DP pointed an accusing finger at former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

According to the DP, Odinga is the problem, and therefore, the legislators should focus their attention on him.

"Waheshimiwa, the real saboteur is your master the people's conman who uses deceit to divide/destroy parties even Uhuru's Jubilee; the master of chaos who factors violence in election equations; the one who never accepts defeat. We'll stand with Uhuru and Jubilee against such dictators," he tweeted on Thursday.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, a section of lawmakers in support of President Kenyatta and Odinga's truce, accused the DP of frustrating Uhuru's administration and urged him to resign.

Led by Tiaty MP William Kamket, the leaders said Ruto can leave office if he feels dissatisfied with the handshake between Uhuru and Odinga.

“If you are dissatisfied with the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta, I dare you to resign,” Kamket said.
