Kandara Member of Parliament has linked President Uhuru Kenyatta to a plot to nab her during the botched press conference that was held in Kenol Town in Murang'a County on Monday.

The presser planned by a youth group allied to the MP aborted after a rival group opposed to the MP and her recent attacks on President Uhuru Kenyatta stormed the venue.

In an interview with NTV hours later, the MP termed the arrival of a contingent of police officers at the venue part of as a plan to arrest her.

She suggested that the police, who she claims were there to arrest her were she to attend the presser, are under the office of the president.

"When you hear the police, you cannot divorce the police from the office of the president. Remember he is the Commander in Chief of Defence Forces and of course, the office of the president is headed by His Excellency the President," said the firebrand legislator.

About the rival group which disrupted the presser, she suggested that they were responding to orders from her critics and idlers unhappy with her actions.

"It was disrupted by pro-intimidators. People who have panicked and who are thinking that Alice Wahome is speaking too much," she added.

The MP said that she was in her office at the parliament during the time of the presser.
