President Uhuru Kenyatta has rooted for direct flights from Singapore to Kenya.
Speaking during the Singapore Summit 2019 on Saturday, Uhuru said that the direct between the two nations will transform the two nations.
He noted that Kenya and Singapore enjoy cordial ties, adding that time has come to take the same to the next level.
He promised to continue working with the government of Singapore to ensure that the people benefit from the fruits of devolution.
The head of state also said that the unveiling of the direct flights will transform the nation in different ways, adding that his government is ready to support any move aimed at boosting Kenya’s economy.
“He said Kenya and Singapore are exploring the modalities for direct flights between the two countries. He said like Singapore, Kenya is a hub for the whole of Africa and is connected to all parts of the continent and Europe as well as America,” State House.
The President has since promised to emulate different programs upon his return into the county including the housing programme.
He held talks with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Friday. The two leaders pledged to strengthen their economic ties for the sake of empowering the general population.
