Kisumu County Speaker Elisha Oraro has wished the best to all Kenya Certificate of Primary Education candidates in Kisumu County.
Speaking on Monday at the assembly, Oraro urged parents and all stakeholders to ensure that they create a conducive environment for the candidates.
"Let us all give the candidates humble time. Teachers avoid any cheating because that won’t give us quality doctors or engineers," urged Oraro.
He added that all the Kenya Certificates of Secondary Education should be allowed to proceed with their education regardless of the outcome as there are several technical institutions and government polytechnics that can accommodate them.
“The students who fail to get direct entry to the university should go to the polytechnic or village polytechnic. We should focus on courses that are practical,” he said.
On his part, Kisumu County Assembly Majority Leader Kenneth Onyango urged both KCPE and KCSE candidates to maintain discipline, adding that without it, all might not end well.
“As I wish all candidates success in their final examinations, I would like all of them to maintain discipline so that everything ends well. We pray for God’s protection and better results,” said Onyango.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga oin Tuesday wished the candidates the best in their exam.
