Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama is in trouble yet again over continued discrimination in his government.
This comes after twelve (12) board members of Nyamira Municipality were sworn-in but, residents have opposed the names of the board members.
The locals led by Nyamira Residence Group chairman Ben Omwenga said Nyagarama's continued discrimination must stop.
"Nyagarama is running the county as if it is his own kiosk. The names of the board members must be dropped because there was no regional balance. All we are demanding is the governor to stop discriminating regions," he said.
Mr Omwenga claimed that the county boss has bribed MCAs and the executive to continue with impunity.
"Plans are underway to file a case in court challenging the names of the new board members who were sworn-in. Justice must be done because Nyamira is big than Nyagarama," he noted.
The group vice chairman Joash Nyachae faulted the county assembly speaker Moffat Teya for accepting the names through the back door.
"Teya's integrity has been compromised because the names he received to serve at the Nyamira municipality did not come from the Public Service board. We will not allow the 12 members to be in office until regional balance is realized," said furious Nyachae.
