A middle aged man was forced to run for his dear life after he was busted with stolen chicken.
This happened on Tuesday in Nyaramba area, Nyamira County.
Daniel Omayio was found hiding 5 chickens which he allegedly stole from his neighbor on the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
“Omayio break into my house and stole the five chickens on Tuesday at around 3 am. In the morning we launched a search and found the five chickens hidden in his house,” said Boniface Kerema.
Kerama said the muscled Omayio resisted arrest when the Nyumba Kumi officials came to arrest him.
“Omayio is energetic and he threatened to attack Nyumba Kumi officials who came to arrest him. The officials alerted police but Omayio escaped before police arrived at his home to arrest him,” said Kerama.
Area assistant chief Robert Machoni said the suspect is being trailed to be arrested.
Machoni said theft is an offence which is punishable by law and no one will be allowed to steal in his area of jurisdiction.
