Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru has warned he will not condone men seducing school girls in the region, especially during the August holiday.
Nakoru fired a stern warning to men in the habit of hitting on school girls who are recognised as minors under the Constitution.
"Now that schools are closing for August holiday, I know men will chase after school girls for love. My office is not going to allow such men to get away with it. Schoolgirls must be spared and be given humble time to rest while on holiday and not being lured into sex," he said on Wednesday in Nyamira.
He called on police officers to be vigilant mostly at night. He asked the law enforcers not to hesitate to arrest any man who will be spotted with a schoolgirl in a nightclub.
The county security chief urged youths not to defend men who will be caught luring young girls into a world they are not ready for yet.
"Chiefs should not defend men in their area of jurisdiction found having sex with school girls. Any man found with a school girl must be surrendered to police." he said.
He pleaded with parents not to allow their daughters to attend nightclubs and discos since men may take advantage of them.
Nakoru assured that bars found accommodating school girls will be shut down and owners arrested.
