Her political nemesis Hassan Joho (as has constantly claimed), is among the people who will make a final decision on her position in the party.

Other senior members include Party Leader Raila Odinga, Deputy Party Leader Wycliffe Oparanya, National Chairperson John Mbadi, Vice Chairpersons Josphat Nanok, Janet Ongera, Tom Mwadeghu, Christine Lemein and Secretary General Edwin Sifuna. Others are Sifuna’s deputies Agnes Zani and Florence Mutua among others.

According to ODM, Jumwa and Suleiman Dori could be smoked out of the party based on the political party’s act.

“A person who, while being a member of political party-

(a) forms another political party

(b) joins in the formation of another political party

(c) joins another political party

(d) in any way or manner publicly advocates for the formation of another political party; or

(e) promotes the ideology, interests or policies of another political party,

shall, not withstanding the provisions of subsection (1) or the provisions of any other written law, be deemed to have resigned from the previous political party,” reads part of the Political Parties Act.
