An Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party politician from Gusii region has lashed out at Deputy President William Ruto over his presidential bid.
Samuel Omwando, who is Kisii County ODM leader, said Dr Ruto is desperately traversing the country to recruit people into his 2022 losing camp.
Omwando claimed that DP Ruto if elected President will be a dictator.
"DP Ruto failed to show up on Friday to a funeral at Nyansiongo area in Nyamira County because he knew his tricks have been known. He could have been heckled since the trips of his previous trips have not been seen by Gusii residents," he noted.
The vocal politician reiterated that a section of leaders from Gusii region who have joined DP Ruto's camp should consider abandoning him early.
"Those who have joined DP Ruto's 2022 camp from Gusii region must decamp for the purpose of remaining relevant in the community politics," he added.
Omwando who vied unsuccessfully for the Kitutu Chache South MP seat on an ODM party ticket during the August 8, 2017 polls slammed MP Richard Onyonka for allegedly going against the will of the people.
"Onyonka recently declared that he will be Ruto's campaign team chairman. This is his own stand but, not for constituents," said Omwando.
