President Uhuru Kenyatta’s meeting with US President Donald Trump on Monday has made headlines not only in the Kenyan media but also globally.
Uhuru was accompanied by Kenya’s First Lady Margaret Kenyatta to the US for the meeting.
The President led a Kenyan delegation through a series of high profile meetings with business executives from the US besides having a private meeting with Trump.
In their extensive discussions with Trump, Uhuru through his Twitter handle said that they discussed the soon-to-be-launched Nairobi to New York direct flights.
"We also discussed the direct flights from Nairobi to New York by @KenyaAirways that are set to commence in October. The flights are set to boost tourism and trade for the mutual benefit of our two countries #KenyaUSrelations @realDonaldTrump | @POTUS @FLOTUS @FirstLadyKenya,” Uhuru tweeted.
