The musician was to be paid a total amount of 15,000 US dollars, which translates to 1.5 million Kenya shillings, but the full amount was not paid.

Before leaving Tanzania to Kenya, he was paid 8,000 US dollars and told the rest would be wired to him when he landed.

Addressing the controversy on a mainstream radio station a fortnight ago, he said that the organisers of the concert only paid part of the amount and played games with him over the balance.

Hermonize is in the country for the Coke Studio project in which he is featuring for the first time.
