Residents of Lemolok village in Kesses constituency were on Thursday left in shock after a cow killed two dogs.
The bizarre incident happened at a homestead in the area when the cows were being taken to the grazing field when one of the dogs started barking at them.
According to the cow's herdsman Dennis Ronoh, the dogs usually accompanied him to the grazing field together with the cows.
"I have trained them to control the cows especially when they go to places they are not supposed to such as maize plantation. One of the dogs was still chained while the other one was free," Ronoh narrated.
He noted that when the dogs started barking at the cows, one of them turned and charged at them, and then pierced its horns in the dog's stomach leaving it bleeding.
The other dog which was two months old had been chained and restrained on a small tree at the homestead. The cow kept on piercing the dog repeatedly using its horns.
"Most of the people were in the house taking breakfast. I had gone back to my room to pick my phone before proceeding to take the cows to the grazing field. We did not know what was going on until it was too late," Rono explained further.
The two dogs bled to death.
Horrified by the scene, Richard Kipchumba who is the owner of the cow said he was would sell it as he was afraid of what it might do next.
