The outspoken lawyer said on Friday that it may be difficult for Chinese and other foreign nationals to respect Kenyans unless Kenyans themselves style up and begin to respect one another.

Miguna's remark came after a Chinese national was deported back to his Asian country after he launched a racial slur on President Uhuru Kenyatta and Kenyans.

"If Kenyans want the Chinese and other people to respect them, they must begin to act as a people deserving of respect," Miguna said on Twitter.

"Stop begging the Chinese, Americans and Europeans for 'help' when your vast wealth is being looted by Uhuru Kenyatta and company. Show courage. Fight for your liberation!"

Miguna is currently in Canada where he was deported following the controversial swearing in of opposition leader Raila Odinga as the people's president on January 30th.

The Chinese National's decision to call Kenyans monkeys has elicited sharp reactions with some Kenyans calling for the expulsion of all Chinese in the country.

The Chinese man who said Kenyans are poor and black has since been deported back to China.
