The Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji has proven his readiness to deliver on his promises after he directed police to take action against one of his staff over misconduct.

On Friday, Haji asked security personnel to probe an incident in which a man, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, hit a motorist on Ngong Road. 

The motorist Ms Waithera Gaitho was hit by the vehicle which was being driven on the wrong side.

 Haji admitted that the vehicle in question belongs to his office and assured the public that he will ensure that justice is served for the woman who was knocked down by the law offender. 

The driver of the vehicle had stopped at the scene and looked at the damage before driving away. 

The driver, who was in a Toyota Prado registration number KCM 485Y, showed no concern after the incident.

 According to activist Boniface Mwangi, the woman was taking her daughter to school before the incident occurred. 

Police noted that the matter was being investigated following a public uproar.
