Speaking on Sunday at a fundraiser attended by Deputy President in Soy, he said the Sh10 billion set for the BBI should benefit the people of North Eastern which has been plagued by locusts.

"The Sh10 billion that is being spent (to market BBI) should have been used to control locusts in North Eastern; used to benefit the people," noted Chemno.

Chemno further registered dissatisfaction with the BBI report claiming Uasin Gishu people had not taken part in the drafting of the report.

He further noted that they were still awaiting the copies of BBI report as promised by President Uhuru and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

"...no one sought opinions from us, then they said they will give us copies of the report, we are yet to get them," Chemno added.

On his part, Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago said they were surprised that the President's directive to ensure BBI copies are availed to Kenyans had been ignored and instead leaders embarked on campaigns.

"The President directed that the report be read by the people...it is, however, disturbing that the directive has been ignored and is now being used as a campaign tool...," said Mandago.
