Controversial Ainapkoi member of Parliament William Chepkut joined a section of his Rift Valley counterparts who have been calling the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to handle the graft war in a  ‘fair’ manner.

However, contrary to his fellow politicians, the first term Mp has warned the DPP and the DCI against engaging so much on the social media debates and has advised them to deal with the solid graft cases in their offices.

“Our DPP and DCI must avoid all these cheap media bravadoes and concentrate on building solid cases - lest the fake war on corruption will collapse like ice cream on a hot Sunday afternoon,” the legislator posted on his official Twitter account.

Chepkut’s warning comes at the time when a group of Rift Valley politicians allied to deputy president Ruto led by his Kapseret firebrand colleague Oscar Sudi and the outspoken  Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen have faulted the two independent offices of being biased in their jobs.

The two have maintained that the DPP and the DCI are targeting DP Ruto and are working under the orders of the head of state.
