Residents of Magwagwa were left in a rude shock after a man eloped with his sister-in-law, abandoning his wife and two kids.
Locals said Ambrose Mogeni eloped with his wife’s young sister, Elmelda Nyanchama, who has been living with them for the past two years.
“Mogeni has been paying college fees for Nyanchama who was studying P1 at Matongo TTC. He eloped with her to Kericho where they have rented a house to live ,” said Tobias Ontieri.
Ontieri noted that the man’s wife, Stella Moraa, has been left alone at home with kids. Area assistant chief Fred Obae said it is a shameful incident and the man should respect his wife.
“Men should respect their wives who have stood with them for years. Mogeni messed up and we will not allow him live the village with the new wife,” he noted.
He urged married couples to be strong and ensure they remain faithful in their marriage.
