Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has advised former investigative journalist, now Nyali MP Mohammed Ali to disassociate himself from “keyboard warriors”.
Murkomen’s advice follows a Twitter spat between Ali and activist Boniface Mwangi after the latter revealed details on social media of their personal meeting on Saturday.
Mwangi, in a fiery post on his Facebook page, divulged private details of their conversation where Ali disclosed that corruption is rife in Parliament.
The activist went on to reveal that the Nyali MP confided in him that he has an expose on how real corruption is in Parliament.
"In a nutshell, Mohamed Ali depressed me. We don’t have a Parliament, but an auction house. Moha wants to talk. He has done his first Jicho Pevu exposé since he was elected; it’s called Dunia Gunia. l watched the trailer. Our media doesn’t want to screen it, though," read part of the post.
In a rejoinder, Ali in a tweet bluntly told Mwangi, "My Bro @bonifacemwangi I'm not desperate for your validation. Home is Kenya. Asante! #DuniaGunia."
It is at this juncture that Murkomen advised Ali to focus on service delivery to Nyali constituents and leave alone opinionists.
"My friend @MohaJichoPevu once you join politics you must forget completely depending on the opinions of keyboard warriors. Serve your constituents diligently they will mark your report card in 5 years. Only service to the people will win you elections&give you lasting legacy," Murkomen offered.
